SIG Sauer P220 Sport

Starting with "gold standard" of self-loading caliber .45 pistols, the SIG Sauer model P220, SIGARMS has integrated several enhancements and customized features to give competition and sport shooters a real competitive edge. The Sport pistols features include extended controls for quicker, easier operation, adjustable target sights and a vented compensator. Also included is a heavier, target-type barrel that give the SIG P220 Sport pistol greater stability and accuracy. The frame attached vented compensator adds muzzle weight and completely subdues perceived recoil and muzzle jump.

Each SIG-Sauer Sport pistol is built on a durable, trouble-free corrosion resistant stainless steel frame, with a stainless steel slide and compensator assembly. All the stainless steel parts are CNC milled from a single piece of high strength alloy steel. The P220 Sport comes with a carrying case and includes a SIGARMS verified test target.

All SIGArms Sport Pistols are hand assembled by a specially selected dedicated technician at the SIG Sauer facilities in Germany. Each Sport Pistol is then hand fitted and hand tuned to ensure smooth operation and the kind of superior accuracy you would expect from a SIG target grade pistol. SIG Sport Pistols are rigorously tested beyond normal limits and, if need be, is adjusted to ensure the very highest levels of performance.

The SIG P220 Sport is manufactured with a heavy contour target type barrel set in a precision machined stainless steel frame. P220 Sport feature a vented compensator that employs a tuned muzzle brake with an expansion chamber. This adds significant weight and rigidity and their increased mass reduces felt recoil and improves control. The combination of the added frame weight, the target barrel and compensator soften recoil and help prevent muzzle rise, thus improving on-target accuracy for second and subsequent shots. The compensator is removable on the P220 Sport.

The SIG Sauer P220 Sport are shipped with Hogue soft rubberized grips for added comfort. Options include a short trigger and optional sights.

The P220 Sport comes with heavy duty sport base pads on the magazines, but is compatible with stock P220 7 & 8 round magazines.
