The Commemorative Pistols feature polished blackened slides with the NRA Law Enforcement logo and the words “NRA Law Enforcement” engraved in 24 karat Gold. Gold-plated appointments adorn both guns, as do Coco Bolo wood grips featuring the NRA cloisonné’s.

SIGARMS will donate $100 from the sale of each 220-45-NRA LE or 226-40-NRA LE to "The NRA Foundation Law Enforcement Training Endowment". An NRA fund that helps support law enforcement training across the United States.

No More Mec Gar Mags

Mec Gar Manufacturing announced at the 2001 SHOT Show that they will no longer sell after market SIG-Sauer magazines. Meg Gar will still produce all SIG and SIG-Sauer factory magazines, but due to a new non-compete agreement, their mags will no longer be available in the commercial market.

The president of Mec Gar said they had entered into a new contract with most popular arms makers that included this non-compete agreement. The new agreement also includes Walther, HK and a few others.

More Hogue Finger Groove Grips

After the successful development and production of the SIG-Sauer P220 "Finger Groove" replacement Grips, Hogue announced "Finger Groove Grips" for the other Classic SIG-Sauer handguns in models P228, P229 and P226. The new grips will be available late this spring.

New Over-and-Under Shotgun

The New Englander is a special-edition, over and under shotgun based on SIG’s Aurora line. It features the L.L. Bean logo inlaid in gold on a case-hardened receiver. The stock is carved from Turkish walnut, highlighted with hand-cut checkering and completed with a Prince of Wales style pistol grip, trim, rounded style forend and rubber recoil pad. The shotgun is offered in 12 and 20 gauge, with 3-inch chambering and 26-inch or 28-inch barrels. An aluminum hard case is supplied with each shotgun.
